Summer Blog Challenge – Day 12

Day 12 – A Book That Made You Happy

I’ve read hundreds of books I’ve enjoyed. They’ve made me feel a whole range of emotions but I wouldn’t say that they all made me happy per se. How many books have you finished and felt happy at the end without being overwhelmed by a well of other emotions? Pick out one that overall left you feeling happy. It’s tough.

But I found one. A Book that made me happy was Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell.

What To Expect When You Are Expecting

Hey guys,

There has been some radio silence on my part recently. I am alive and kicking, just struggling to find the motivation to do anything productive. I’ve been thinking about my blog a lot but can’t find the energy to start writing something. It’s a bit of a slump. I’ve even just been rereading the same books rather than delve into anything new. (As much as I love ACOTAR, I really need to find something else to read!)

It isn’t all miserable, far from it really. There are some exciting times ahead for my fiance and me- our dynamic duo is going to become a trio in May 2019. We are expecting our first baby (a lovely little girl) and we are so in love with a person we have yet to meet. A lot of exciting changes are coming about. Day 14 – What Tattoos You Have & If They Have Meaning

I think tattoos and piercings are a great way to express yourself. More so tattoos, but the principle still stands. It’s a way to express yourself without going out of your way to affect others around you, it subtly tells something about who you are and what you love. I feel like they both get such a bad rap but I’m a firm believer of each person to their own so you want to write it on your skin then you do you.

Day 11 – What You Wore Today

Hey guys,

So today was a rare day off work that I didn’t have anything planned. I was thinking of doing so many things but in the end I decided to go and see my younger brother and his girlfriend who live up in Inverness. It was a beautiful day, perfect for a trip to a beautiful part of the Scottish Highlands. My fiancĂ© was working so I headed off myself for what was rocking up to be a relaxing day out.

Day 10 – Put Your Music on Shuffle and Write the First 10 Songs

Anyone that knows me knows that as well as my books, my great love is singing. I don’t think I’m good at it but I love singing out loudly (the louder, the better it comes out). Long drives are the best because it very quickly turns into a live show featuring yours truly. for this prompt, I just stuck my Spotify on shuffle and this is the result. I’m quite happy with the little playlist it created. Maybe it will be turned into a new CD for my car. Continue reading “30 Day Writing Challenge – Day 10”

Day 9 – Something You Think “What If?” About

This is one I think about quite frequently actually. It doesn’t do good to constantly dwell on a life of ‘ifs’ and ‘buts’ but sometimes it is interesting to think. A big “what if?” for me revolves around my move from Glasgow to Aberdeen four years ago. I spent most of my life in the central belt of Scotland, I went to school there and its where most of my immediate family all stay. When I finished high school, due to a number of difficulties with life and my family, I made the conscious decision to move away for university. Continue reading “30 Day Writing Challenge – Day 9”
