So we’ve reached the final book in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series. It’s been a wild ride of emotion and pain but we’ve loved every moment of it. There is a huge possibility that this series is my favourite series of all time (and that would mean that it surpasses The Lord of the Rings and Spotless which says a LOT about my feelings towards the series). So we are finally in June which means that half of 2019 is already gone and before we know it it’s going to be 2020! What a year it has been so far!
The chaos of life has had me swamped and a new baby demanding my undivided attention means that I haven’t managed to read nearly as many books as I would have liked to but that doesn’t mean that I haven’t accomplished anything! I find myself now reading a lot more on my Kindle simply for the reason that it is very hard to hold a baby and turn the pages of books so at the moment my Kindle and I have become good friends again.

So I’m a part of a few Facebook fan groups that are dedicated to A Court of Thorns and Roses series and they are amazing and it’s so great to see so many fans dedicated to a series and sharing their thoughts and views, art and crafts, cosplays, tattoos and just sharing the wonder that is the ACOTAR series together. One of the topics that appear regularly is Tamlin and there are mixed feelings about the character on both sides. I feel the need to talk about him.
Tamlin, High Lord of the Spring Court, is a topic that needs to be discussed.
In ACOTAR, most of the readers warm up to Tamlin pretty quickly and are happy to see Feyre get together with him and to get her fairytale ending. I know that I was the first time, maybe even the second time that I read the first book. However, by the third time I read the book and I really started to think about Tamlin’s character I started to see the flaws that were so apparent from the beginning.
