Day 24 – A Book You’ve Wanted to Read for a Long Time But Haven’t
My TBR pile is the length of my arm. Longer. No, really it’s now just turned into a TBR bookcase. It’s getting ridiculous. I’ve actually set myself a resolution for this year of not buying books that I’m not going to read immediately. It’s been going somewhat successfully (kind of).
But one that I’ve wanted to read for a long time (about 3 years now) is actually the second book to a series. I loved the first book so much because it was something so unique for me.
A book that I’ve wanted to read for a long time but haven’t is Hollow City by Ransom Riggs, book two in Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children series.

Day 23 – Your Favourite Quote from Your Favourite Book
This is tough because I don’t know what my favourite book is. It could be A Court of Mist and Fury or it could be The Great Gatsby or it could be The Lord of the Rings.
I really had to mull this one over. But I got there. Eventually.

Day 22 – A Book That Reminds You of Home

Day 21 – A Book You Started But Didn’t Finish
I hate not finishing books. In fact it really takes a lot for me to DNF a book but I’ve done it just a few times.
A book J started but couldn’t finish was The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness, book one of Chaos Walking.

Day 20 – Best Book You Read Last Year
I hardly remember what I had for dinner last night, let alone remember what I did last year but books? Now they’re something I remember.
I read a lot of great books last year, and some bad ones, but there are a few that stand out in my memory. However, I can only pick one for this prompt.
The best book I read last year was The Cruel Prince by Holly Black.

Day 19 – A Book That Disappointed You
Its not often that I’m not pleased with a book and I can’t say that there are a lot of books I’ve felt disappointed by.
A book that I was disappointed by was If I Stay by Gayle Forman.

Day 18 – The First Novel You Remember Reading
I’ve always been an avid reader since I was really young. I had books full of short stories, and picture books full of animals, and I loved The Gruffalo and Where the Wild Things Are. I’ve always been surrounded by books and that made me me. Trying to remember the first novel that I read is a little harder but I think I figured it out.
The first novel I ever read (and finished) was The Amazing Story of Adolphus Tips by Michael Morpurgo
